Player Piano
It was not the first time that I saw one but I was still enthralled by it. A player piano is a self-playing piano, containing a mechanism that allows it to plays notes and pedals without a human operator.

The 10-foot stone Buddha at the Japanese Garden of Peace in Corrigedor
We know that Corrigedor, an island at the mouth of Manila Bay, reeks with history. Surrounding the island are diverse structures–a Spanish lighthouse, American artillery, a Japanese garden, and Filipino art, to name a few.
The photo above is of Buddha carrying a child. Our guide noted that the statue is often referred to as Buddha Mary.

Badjaos at the Cagayan de Oro pier
Badjao families are a common sight in waters around Philippine piers. They ask passengers in arriving ships to throw them coins. These daring Badjaos, who could be as young as the kids in the photo, fearlessly jump from their boats to look for the coins at the same time display their amazing swimming and diving skills.
In this picture (taken aboard Superferry), the coin-diving business was a bit slow as we passengers weren’t too excited to part with our spare change.
